Children in the Worshipping Community

I’ll be writing more about Intergenerational Church Worship but I wanted to post this YouTube. Brittany Porch at Broadstreet Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio speaks about how her church made a systemic change in their approach to faith formation in this YouTube video. She attests that millennials were using church nurseries less and less and that research shows that children and youth who are embedded in congregations during their lives tend to become lifelong disciples far more than those who are siloed outside the worshipping community. “Parents may have been working all week long. They don’t want to be separated on Sundays,” she says. The video shows you a bit of what moving children to the front row looks like. Take a look!
