A Review of Easter Resurrection Mix and Match Game

Created by the same people as the Holy Week Sequence Floor Puzzle previously reviewed, this is an activity based on key events and significant items during the last week of Jesus’ life. Each comes with a Scripture explanation. I liked that the meaning of some of the items was unexpected. The card of three nails wasn’t about the soldiers nailing Jesus to the cross; rather it was about Thomas’ declaration that unless he could see the nail holes in Christ’s palms, he would not believe. The crown was not the reference to mocking Jesus as “King of the Jews,” it represented that Jesus is the King of all the world.

These can be used as a matching game or a sequence activity. Alternatively, teams could act out what is happening on the card. The Scripture cards allow students to explore further what the Bible says about each event or item. Material is heavy-duty and will hold up well for classroom use. Available at Oriental Trading Company at a bargain price of $6.49. https://www.orientaltrading.com/easter-resurrection-mix-and-match-game-a2-13935949.fltr?keyword=Resurrection (Note, I don’t receive compensation through these links, or for reviews. I just think it’s a great resource.)
